About Michael
History and Literature are more then just subjects in school, they are the things that allow us to be innovative, to excell at critical thinking and push forward into the future using the lessons of the past. While I take a vested interest in helping your children excell in these courses academically, I also hope to instill in them an appreciation in these subjects that shall carry out through the rest of their lives!
I am currently finishing my Bachelors degree in History, but I have a history in tutoring throughout high school as a certified tutor. I have also served as a trainer in many different professional fields from the military, and customer service.

The first step of the process happens before I even take the job. I’ll do 1 free session to get to know the student a little. The fact of the matter is that not every teaching style or approach will work for every student, so I’ll meet with them and see if I can find a method of explaining things that they are able to best absorb! From there I start making lesson plans that go along with their syllabus and try to be ahead of the curb. I will provide assistance with essays in both editing, and helping them acquire the resources for research, but the essays will be 100 percent their work. This policy extends to homework assignments, Homework is meant to show a students comprehension of the material (which it’s my hope to aid in that process).

Details
Since I don’t have my degree presently, my rates are on the low end of the spectrum at 30 an hour, however, with us being new I will knock this down to 25 for the first 100 people I tutor.
