I enjoy watching students progress and the joy in their faces when the lesson clicks for them and they accomplish something they never thought they would.
I've been riding horses since I was 5 years old. Trained my frist horse when I was 7. When I was 19 years old I started training horses for other people. In 2013 my partner Sue and I bought a boarding and training ranch and I started giving riding lessons there. I LOVE IT!!

Starting with basics. Including horse handling (leading, grooming, and general horse care.) and familiarization with horse behavior.
I've worked with people from all walks of life, including a criminal court judge and his wife. I've done classes for "at-risk kids" as a group (with a therapist) and special needs children and adults.
I work with folks of all ages from 10 and up. My oldest client so far is 70.
Look for someone that you can like and trust. They must be willing to listen patiently to your questions and give clear and concise answers.
Their facility must be clean and their horses must be well trained, healthy and well cared for.
There must be room to ride and go through verious gates (walk, trot, canter etc.)
Reacently, I had a student who was very insecure and fearful of handling horses. After just a few sessions she was able to catch, lead, tack up a horse and ride. Her confidence and demener has completely changed.
I'm so proud of her.

Perfect! Skeeter was extremely kind and such patience for me which I really appreciated. I learned so much and I cannot wait to ride with him again!.
Perfect! Great place. Skeeter is very good with my 8yo. He makes sure she's being taught the right way to do things and has an incredible amount of patience. You can tell he loves what he does. We've tried a lot of other places, Rockin' Double S is by far the best. This is the only place I'll be taking my daughter for riding lessons from now on.
Perfect! My experience with Rockin’ Double S Ranch has been wonderful. I have learned so much in just my first three months . Skeeter is very patient when teaching and has so much experience with horses, not to mention his awesome stories . The horses are so loving and great to work with. The ranch is always very clean and the horses are all very well taken care of. I would highly recommend horse riding lessons with Skeeter.
Perfect! Very professional and nice. Teaches how to take care of a horse and how to show the horse love and respect. First lesson but will be back for more lessons.

Everything!!! The owners are wonderful and honest people. They are very conscientious about the care they provide horses boarded on their property. Skeeter is the BEST for any type of horse lessons.
Skeeter is the best trainer I ever had! I’m a first time horse owner and he walked me through the entire process all the way down from what brushes to buy up to how to get my green horse to slow down in the round pen. He is an extremely patient and passionate teacher who just wants his students to succeed. He is also very knowledgeable and has a way with horses that is truly magical. If you are considering taking riding lessons or just want to learn more about horses, Skeeter is definitely your guy!
