About Kathy
I am a retired public school teacher and administrator with 42 years experience. I have taught at every level and served as an elementary principal. I am trained in dyslexia instruction and supervised that program in a large Texas school district. My greatest joy has been teaching students to read. I am also certified in special education and have experience with students with disabilities. I have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. I hold a B.A. in Education with a minor in English and a
M. Ed. In Educational Administration. I enjoy students and want to do something meaningful in my retirement. I believe in finding a student’s strengths and interests and focusing on those to build a rapport. By accentuating the positive, great strides can be made.
