About Karishma
Hi! My name is Karishma Parekh and for the past three years I have been a tutor in my hometown. I specifically work with students K-8 and work on developing essential skills while tutoring. I have taught students how to read and write as well as learn to develop their thoughts through their work. Whether it's writing or math, critical thinking is important as it's a building block when learning. I have studied child development in highschool and have taught/tutored over a dozen kids in various environments. I'm actually studying family sciences and human development in college. I love teaching and that sprouted from the encouragement I received from my own teachers and tutors. I learned from personal experiences that the people we learn from can either make or break our opinions on learning. I have had my fair share of both while growing up. With the help of my tutors, I learned skills that I still use and implement in my tutoring sessions. I hope other kids have a good experience with tutoring as I have. Learning is not linear or sometimes a straightforward concept. Learning is a combination of communication and cooperation from both the teacher and the student to find the best course of action to move forward. It's an essential learning process for anybody. Hopefully I can provide the best help for you.
Please don't hesitate to contact me for my resume!
