About Makenna
Hi, my name is Makenna Marshall, and I am an Ivy League law student with over 10 years of experience enriching and supporting young minds. I specialize in youth literacy tutoring, standardized test preparation, and advanced literary analysis. Having been admitted to some of the most exclusive academic institutions in the world, including Phillips Academy, the University of Toronto, and Columbia Law School, I also provide tailored guidance for admissions preparation.
My favorite part of teaching is creating individualized learning plans that align with the unique needs and aspirations of my students. I bring a unique perspective from my experiences, such as developing an educational module on medical racism during my internship at the Smithsonian Institution, where I engaged diverse audiences and advocated for equity in education.
Drawing on my background as a literacy tutor for the Toronto Public Library and a published researcher in global health, I integrate analytical rigor with empathy to foster meaningful growth.
