About Betsua
Hi! My name is Renny Ventura. I will be graduating from Economics at the University of Maryland, College Park May 2025 with a bachelor's in Economics & a minor in Technology Entrepreneurship & Corporate Innovation. I also have an associate in Business Administration from Montgomery College. I would love to tutor anyone learning economics or accounting. I have experience tutoring Spanish for the last five years at an education center as I am a fluent speaker and have also taken three years of French (Level B2). I can help with English and math as well. As hobbies, I play violin, go to the gym, read, go to church, and watch Netflix.
I start my classes with an agenda and have expectations for my students to learn the material; I take learning seriously and find it more important than just trying to get a passing grade. I am very dedicated to each task & aim to provide the best service to the best of my ability. I will confess if I do not know a particular subject but would take it as an opportunity to learn with the student as we figure something out. I enforce competitiveness, grit, dedication, humility, & I believe practice makes permanent, not perfect. With five years of experience tutoring, I have confirmed that each student learns differently. However, I do expect the student to do their own part in making efforts to learn the material because I will not be handing the answers on a silver platter. I will not appreciate it if parents place impractical expectations on the tutor if the student does not put their own part as well. Regardless, I take adaptable and fun approaches to foster an enjoyable learning experience.
