About Jamie
Hello, I am Jamie Heringer! With five years of experience as a middle school teacher, I am elated to offer my services as a tutor.
I have experience teaching grades 6-12 reading/language arts, as well as social studies and science in grades 6-8. I have a BS Composite in Literature and English Teaching, an MA in English Language Learning, and an MS in Curriculum and Instruction.
Students thrive when working one-on-one or in small groups, and I have ample experience with meeting students where they're at academically to push them to (or above) grade-level proficiency. By using aids and content that allow students to learn visually, aurally, and kinesthetically, I am able to both challenge and assist them in the best way possible.
I am personable, proactive, punctual, and prepared. With a flexible growth mindset, anything is possible, and I hope to leave that message with the young minds with which I work daily.
