About Lisa
I am a professionally certified elementary teacher with six years of teaching experience. I have my bachelors degree in Elementary Education and my masters degree in Literacy (Birth - 6th Grade).
I have taught 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade along with Pre-K. I love helping children and young adults become strong readers and writers. As an online tutor, I will use play-based activities alongside research-based strategies to increase reading and writing skills. I am experienced in using the blending phonics approach with beginning readers. I have extensive experience supporting multilingual learners.
Lastly, while my experience is with elementary students, I am able to adjust my approach and methods to meet the needs of middle school students, high school students, and adult learners.
