About Micah
I have wrestled since I was 3 years old all the way up to being a 2x Ohio State Tournament Qualifier, placing 5th in my senior year in 2018. I then continued on my journey to wrestling for Ohio State with the likes of Kyle Snyder, Myles Martin, and Sammy Sasso, being coached by Tom Ryan and Jae Jaggers. After stepping away from wrestling to focus on my neuroscience and psychology, I coached for 6 years helping to build up Bishop Watterson from a 10 man wrestling roster to a 30 man roster capping it off with a 2nd place team finish and then a state championship team finish in 2024 and 2025. I coached and was the direct drill partner with Mitchell Younger, who is a 3x Ohio State champion and who received a full ride for wrestling at UNC, and coached Michael Boyle, a current 2x state champion Junior who has already committed to wrestling at the Ohio Statsr University.
I am highly skilled in scrambling, top wrestling, and in the psychological battle of the match and preparation. I focus on a direct translational approach of figuring out how to apply lessons from wrestling to lessons in life, preparing students for life both in and outside of wrestling and setting them up for a brighter future.
