From the tender age of 7, I immersed myself in the world of martial arts, starting with Shotokan Karate. As the years went by, I expanded my knowledge and skills, delving into the realms of Boxing, American Kickboxing, Jiujitsu, Wrestling and Muay Thai. Through countless hours of training, I have honed my discipline, psychology, and physical abilities, equipping myself with invaluable tools that extend beyond the realm of combat.
But what sets me apart goes beyond mere technical expertise. I approach the art of fighting with methodical and critical thinking, recognizing that true mastery lies not only in the execution of techniques but in understanding the underlying principles. This mindset has not only allowed me to excel in martial arts but has also enabled me to shed 130 pounds and compete in the demanding world of professional fighting.

It happened naturally throughout my learning and me helping others.
I began training in karate at the age of 7. I have over 22 years of experience in various styles of martial arts. I have learned from many respected martial artists. I also have experience in self-defense because of the growing up in the neighborhoods I had to grow up in. I have, unfortunately, real world experience with having to fend for my life. Though I am sad that I had to go through those things, I am grateful I now have the opportunity to help others avoid and defend themselves in those situations.

The way I see it, there is no exact process to reach students. Everyone is different and the approach varies person-to-person. I try to gauge what types of encouragement work first so that way there is positive reinforcement throughout the learning.
From little children to the elder.
Seek out someone who has a true passion for his craft.
I have currently been on a weight loss journey and since August I have lost 110 pounds (375lbs - 265lbs) and throughout this journey I have met some incredible people who have approached me to learn what I am doing, when they see me either working out or hitting the heavy bag/sparring. There was this one guy who stopped his workout to watch me hit the heavy bag. It was weird but such an honor.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I think that if any student has a question, they should ask it immediately. In that fashion, the coach and student can work through the whole thought together and builds a deeper bond. In fighting, I think that is very important.
