About Memoona
My passion is to work with my students to build confidence,expand knowlege and solving the most difficult problems in smart easy steps.My students have always enjoyed my way of delivering lessons and have built thier interest in maths in a short amount of time.I have 7 years of teaching experience in major tutoring schools including all levels-elementary/middle/high school and college.Also worked as a Mathcad helpdesk tutor covering various topics.I hold a Bachelors degree in IT and Computing from UK Univeristy with CGPA 3.89.First class honors in Advanced Mathematics.Certified international teaching from University of Colorado Denver.Honors and awards from the school-Excellent service,diligence & dedication,Exemplary service.
I didn't choose it, it chose me.Sitting down and working through a math problem is just as productive.It provides opportunities for developing important intelectual skills in problem solving, deductive and inductive reasoning, creative thinking and communication.I have always really enjoyed working with kids (being a mom of two beautiful princesses). I enjoy the relative perceived importance of maths over most other subjects. I enjoy the challenge of the subject both personally, and in terms of the way I can bring it across to others. I like the creativity involved in teaching. I much appreciate the camaraderie amongst the teaching community.
Teaching maths to kids who don't want to be there is one of the most difficult jobs in the world,but when you get their trust and you get their motivation going, it is the most rewarding. It does take spark and personality to get there.The simple truth is that if you can help make a difference to a child's life then you will go home happy.It’s 100 per cent absorbing. When I’m teaching I never think of anything else. It’s a flow state – I feel more alive.
