About Karina
My tutoring stands out because working with children is one of my favorite things to do. Even though I am not a certified teacher, I am a senior in a very good high school and I believe that I can help any students ages 8-16 with their work.
I enjoy getting to interact with students and learning more about them. I also love to work with children and see how they grow up to become smart and independent young adults. Seeing some of my work being reflected in children is the most gratifying feeling. When I work with children as a fencing coach and I see children responding positively to the advice I give them, it is the greatest feeling. I hope to be able to do the same when tutoring.
I love to work with kids and I currently work part-time with children as a fencing coach so I have good experience working with children. I also am working really hard toward earning enough money to go to my dream college, so this motivates me.
I am currently a second semester senior and I was accepted Early Decision to the University of Notre Dame as a business major. I was a part of DECA--Distributive Education Clubs of America--and placed 3rd a State Leadership Conference as well as qualifying for internationals. Furthermore, I have tutored a wide range of students ages 7 and up.

When I begin with a new student, I assess their mathematical and English abilities with an assessment. Then, I formulate a course plan and schedule to help them fine-tune their skills and prepare for higher levels of math and English.
I have worked with a few middle school students and a few high school freshmen. All ages work well for me because I tend to get along with most children. I have worked with both extroverted children and introverted children. Both types of personalities are wonderful because even if a child is introverted, I can try to let them feel comfortable and eventually they can show me how amazing they are.

Karina has excellent explanations and is very patient with my daughter. My daughter went from a C+ to an A after just two months with Karina
Karina was extremely patient with me while going over some very tricky high complex problems. She helped me understand a foreign concept and made it easy!

I do not have a standard pricing system for my lessons, but the cost would range between $20-$30 depending on how often I work with the client and the material that they are covering.
