About Dalia
Dalia Platt is a dedicated and caring individual who strives to facilitate and enhance the learning experience for students from grades six through twelve in the areas of Mathematics and Physics. After receiving her Industrial Engineering degree in Colombia along with her M.B.A. in International Finance from the University of Miami, Mrs. Platt decided to pursue a career in academia that would allow her to combine her passion for helping others and her extensive background in all levels of Mathematics. Over the last nineteen years, Mrs. Platt has taught classes both at the collegiate and high school level. After being a full time faculty member of the math department at Pine Crest School from 2009 through 2014, Mrs. Platt decided to return to her entrepreneurial roots and focus 100% of her time on tutoring. In this capacity, Dalia is uniquely qualified to help because not only does she understand the perspectives of both the teachers and its students, but she is also bilingual. Her twin sons are currently juniors in high school. To say they have different personalities, learning styles and academic strengths and weaknesses is an understatement. This unique experience has given her yet more perspective to treat each student as an individual and utilize only the strategies that will maximize that student's potential.
