Hello, my name is Lauren and I have a Bachelor's in Psychology from UCLA with a double minor in Applied Developmental Psychology and Gender Studies. I have taken courses in Early Childhood Care and Education as well.
I have the most experience providing the following services, but please reach out if you're interested in something else!
-enrichment and/or early intervention for 0-5 year olds (Let me know what your concerns are, I have experience with physical disabilities, cognitive/learning disabilities, speech delays, ASD, ADD/ADHD, etc)
-homework help and targetted tutoring for elementary school students (Is your child stuck on fractions? Do you need someone to work with them so you can cook dinner? I'm happy to help!)
-writing assistance and essay editing for high school students (college application essays, first resumes and cover letters, AP exam preparation, or any academic essay that needs a proof read)
-targeted tutoring for high school and college students (especially in psychology, argumentative writing, analytical writing, and beginner level french and spanish)
-beginner level soccer skill work for young children

We can start with a phone call to discuss what type of tutoring or other service you are looking for, location, availability, etc.
In most cases I will ask for some materials prior to our first session such as essay prompts and first drafts, copies of homework assignments, etc. In some cases, especially if you are interested in long term services, I will also ask to have one short session with the student and/or parents to discuss expectations.
AGES: I've worked with children as young as three months and students as old as 20 years.
ENRICHMENT/INTERVENTION AREAS FOR INFANTS, TODDLERS, AND YOUNG CHILDREN: speech delays, gross and fine motor delays, cognitive delays and emerging learning disabilities (autism spectrum disorder, ADD/ADHD, sensory processing difficulties, etc), physical disabilities, visual impairment, prenatal or birth complications (prematurity, fetal alcohol syndrome, noenatal abstinence syndrome, perinatal hearing loss, infant seizures, chronic illness, etc)
TUTORING AREAS FOR SCHOOL AGED CHILDREN: Any core curriculum material up to 8th grade, beginning level french, beginning or intermediate level spanish, study skills, executive functioning skills
TUTORING AREAS FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS: psychology, writing, social sciences, beginning level french or spanish, study skills, executive functioning, college applications, AP and other standardized testing
