About Marc
I have been an on and off tutor for 10 years. I'm currently a student pursuing nuclear engineering at UC Berkeley. I have tutored students in middle school, high school, and college. Outside of tutoring for the classroom, I have tutored for the ASVAB, IBEW Aptitude test, as well as a small amount of SAT Prep. While the bulk of my tutoring experience lies in math, I also have experience tutoring in general chemistry as well as physics. I feel I make coursework relatable to real life and therefore make the topics a little bit easier to understand. I have not yet had a student that I could not help. Except with statistics.
When I excel at something, I want others to excel at it as well. I know what it's like to struggle with a certain topic, so I would always do my best to see that others would understand like I do. That wanting others to succeed lead to tutoring.

When working with a new student, I find what subject the student would like to improve in and we just talk about it at first. We discuss ideas related to the topic. When we have discussed the broad topic enough then we will get into some examples that are particular to the student's desired realm of improvement.
Middle school students, high school students, and college students.
I have worked with people who want to join the military and want to improve their ASVAB score and I have also worked with people joining a trade and preparing for an aptitude test.
Halloween was recently and my family(Wife, daughter, and I) got to dress up in a Peter Pan Theme.
Also I scored a 95% on a calculus based physics exam.
