About Josiah
I graduated high school highest honors, with a 4.0, and 32 hours of pre-med college courses under my belt. I've taken trigonometry, calculus I and II, as well as, differential equations. I tutored math in high school during study hall. I'm been doing free lance tutoring for about six months now as a side hustle during school.
I had a cousin that needed help with elementary math during quarantine.
I have a high school diploma and am currently working on my undergrad degree. I'm also a wellness coach, so I'm used to working one on one on a daily basis.

I generally start working on immediate assignments while looking for weaknesses or problem areas. If there is an issue that's going to continue causing errors to be made in the future, I generally take some time to work on that particular need. I keep an inventory of those problem areas and review them each session until the skill is proficient.
Elementary, Middle School, High School, and College
So, this goes for the student as well as the teacher...remain humble and teachable. Both parties are learning simultaneously. Having those qualities present makes the learning process easier for everyone. You're never going to find a perfect teacher, but if you try 2-3 sessions with someone and really aren't feeling it, try someone else.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
It's important to work through as much of your assignments as possible before seeking help. The tutor is not a crunch but simply a guide. By doing this, you'll find out where your issues are, and it will be much easier and quicker to resolve them.

$50/hr is pretty standard for me. Drive time will affect that price point though. Also, I'm willing to negotiate a bit depending on the subject matter and age of the student.
