About Elisa
I am a college graduate in communications. My career path has allowed me to develop proficient writing and communications skills. It has also allowed me to learn a lot about people and developing appropiate communication according to my audience or client.
Apart from my career experience, I also have previous tutoring experience, from private tutoring, to working at one of my colleges as a tutor, helping students in math, science, reading, ESL and so much more. This is something that fills me with joy, to see my students do better and hear the great feedbacks from their teacher, and thank you'sfrom their parents.
Last thing I consider to be worth mentioing is that I am fluet in Spanish, and have also taken college level classes for Portuguese.
I staterd tutoring in my hgih School years, then proceeded to my college years.

My typical process is to first learn more about the student, hear from their parents and the student himself or herself what are his or her prefered teaching style, what the student's weaknesses and strenghts, and try to understand from all angles of the student's personality, why the student could be having a hard time with denominated subject.
From middle schoolers, to teenagers, to adults, to special needs, to non-English Speakers.
