About Nathan
My tutoring service seeks to adapt to each student's approach to learning. I believe that it is important to foster a healthy desire to achieve success with each student. Through meaningful one-on-one interactions with my students, I strive to be a meaningful supplement towards their educational goals.
Students often come to me with fascinating insights that I never would have considered myself, presenting me with entirely new ways to approach topics. The greatest gratification, however, is watching a student progress and improve, building their confidence and curiousity along the way.
I initially tutored classmates and friends in biology and chemistry while I was in high school. Over time, I expanded my services to include basic mathematics and continued to work with local high school students after graduation.
I am current 2nd year undergraduate at UC Riverside. My major is Biology, and I have a cumulative 4.0 GPA after taking coursework in college-levelled calculus, biology, and chemistry.

Prior to the start of a session, I like to request a short appointment to determine what a student's learning goals are and what coursework I will need to prepare in order to suit your schedule and needs. We go over how long of a timeframe a student is planning to be tutored for, which affects the pace of material that will be covered.

Nathan tutored my son on both pre-calculus and chemistry for over half a year. Each session topically lasted an hour and converted topics that my son was weak at. We ended up with a noticeable improvement in practice tests scores.
Communication was clear and it was easy to reschedule on short notice. Prices are fair as well for what you are getting. Overall, highly recommended!View more recommendations
