About Rebekah
I engage students in broadening and increasing their understanding and skills in both introductory and advanced mathematics (elementary, high school, and college level) as well as in computer science. I mentor students in formulating and working towards their career and acedemic goals and plans.
I have completed my bachelors in Mathematics and will graduate with my bachelors in Computer Science on May 11, 2019.
I will begin graduate studies in Computational Biology at Caltech in Fall 2019. I have earned several university, state, and national awards, including the Department of Energy Computational Sciences Graduate Fellowship and National Science Foundation Graduate Fellowship.

I have worked with elementary, high school, and college students. I have tutored both excelling students and students falling behind in their studies as well as students with learning challenges and anxiety. I have helped each of these students reach success in their learning.
Look for an individual that can explain each topic in multiple different ways and who can describe it in both a physical sense using real objects in the world and a theoretical sense with relatable examples.

She is very good at making you think for yourself. As a tutor myself, it is important that we don't just give answers, but provide the tools to help the student get to the answer themselves. She was very helpful in my topology course and it was comforting to know that I had her as an extra resource when I was stuck on something.
