About Courtney
My background is in chemical research and product development as a cosmetic chemist and a practical business educator, with a blend of both science and business skills.
In the past, I have taught business economics courses at Lone Star College and have mentored as a college success coach at Houston Community College. I also own a small business (CJH BAKE-Lab, (concealed information) ), which incorporates teaching enriching programs of business and science to youth using eclectic food and art projects. I am also certified for teaching business and finance content areas to high-schoolers in the state of Texas, and am passionate about teaching budding entrepreneurs at the collegiate level in both undergraduate and MBA programs. In addition, I am studying towards my Ph.D. in Business Marketing, with a focus in consumer behavior.
I enjoy engaging with students in a way that makes tough disciplines of science and math relatable and easy to comprehend.
I started in 2011 as a science enrichment provider for local school districts, as a business vendor.
I am a former chemist, and I have also worked as a science enrichment provider for local school districts (as a vendor) for 10 years. I have also taught special needs students for 2 years (full-time). I am also working on my PhD in business marketing with a focus in consumer behavior.

I ask the parents for an overview of their child's needs, and what content deficiencies are present that will require my expertise and help.
I have worked with students from all backgrounds of life and educational levels.
Evaluate their resume, and ask what they enjoy doing (versus what they have had to do for a living). If they love teaching, you want that person.
I recently experienced the Grand Canyon with my family. It was glorious!

Recommending! The kids were engaged and happily learning STEM subjects in the after-school (science enrichment) session.
We loved Courtney, as our science consultant at Lora Peck Elementary!
Very knowledgeable and engaging. Made learning a difficult subject area fun and enjoyable.
Courtney's superb! She improved the English comprehension and math level of my middle school students with special needs at Spring Oaks Middle School. I recommend her service (CJH Bake- Lab) for all of your enrichment and tutorial needs.
Her English tutorials were extremely helpful with my (middle school) second -language learners at Spring Branch ISD. She was beyond sweet and thorough in her approach of meeting students at any learning level. She also taught me new strategies and refreshed my skills in the English Language Arts.
We absolutely loved Courtney's enrichment offerings and Business Club at Spring Oaks Middle School! We hope to have her again, soon! :)
She is excellent and patient with my special needs kids. She taught new vocabulary, math, science, and necessary "life skills" to my kids, while also giving them independence to grow (without overly coddling them). I recommend her and her kind group of enrichment instructors for after-school tutorials.
I thoroughly enjoyed partnering with Courtney towards the advancement of my 6th grade class' math learning goals. She was easy and kind to work with. She even laughed at my corny jokes!
Courtney and her instructors offered remarkable tutorials for english, science, and math content areas for our second language learners and special needs kids at Spring Oaks Middle School. I will definitely work with her again.
Spring Oaks Middle School loves CJH Bake Lab ( Enrichment Services) and Courtney! Courtney administered our first Billionaire Business Club at our campus, and diligently worked to offer a stellar and engaging (hands on) experience of all of the phases of a start-up business with the kids (from entrepreneurial innovation, product development, launch, and marketing). 5 stars and more!
Courtney is an exceptional instructor and lover of the STEM discipline! She makes science fun and easy to learn for my kids. I highly recommend her and any team members (instructors) associated with her science enrichment and tutorial company (CJH Bake Lab).
