Seeing the light go on.

Visiting my wife’s classroom and discovering how rewarding it was to help students.

Life teaching credential in math. Perfect scores on SAT and GRE math sections. 760 in verbal just so you know that I’m not illiterate.

About the lesson

Have them show me how they go about solving a problem in the area where they are having problems. Watching them solve a problem helps me to see what areas need to be fixed.

High School students of all levels of understanding, students on the autism spectrum, and adults.

Talk to the teacher/tutor to see if you two are compatible.

Showing my wife (a special education teacher who considers herself “math illiterate”) how to approach a problem and watching her see how easy it actually was.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What areas are giving me problems? Pick some homework problems from book that you don’t understand or that you keep getting wrong.
