About Madison
I have 5 years experience tutoring kids from all backgrounds in grades K-12.
I love helping students reach their 'a-ha' moment. Anyone can do math, and I will work as hard as I can to ensure you are prepared to understand the key concepts necessary to succeed in your class.
I am currently in college, but I have been tutoring kids in grades K-12 for 5 years. I have experience tutoring in math, science, and Latin.

I like to start off my first session getting to know who my student is as a person, so I can understand how to keep them engaged. Then, I ask what area they need help in and how the teacher tests students. It's important to not only help the student understand key concepts in their class, but is also important to prepare a student for what is expected from them in the classroom.
It's important to find a teacher who you can connect with and feel comfortable conversing with.
Recently, I was able to help a student understand a concept in her biology class that she had been struggling with for days. Her GPA in biology is the highest it has ever been, and I am so happy to watch her succeed.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
A student should look through their recent tests or assignments and see where their strong and weak areas are within a subject.
