About Christa
Hi, my name is Christa, and I love working with students! A fun fact about me is that I can say the dialogue from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by heart. The most rewarding part of tutoring for me is when a new concept “clicks” with a student - their excitement is contagious, and it’s a privilege to be able to help them reach that point! On a more personal level, I am a patient and caring type of person!
I partner with students on a one-on-one basis in STEM subjects through SoFlo Tutors, my tutoring agency. I studied Mathematics at Wayne State University and have been tutoring for 2 years. Math and Science tend to build on themselves, so our methodology is to identify gaps in a student’s knowledge of a subject and help to fill them in with individualized lessons! In the long-term, we hope to work ourselves out of a job by helping your student reach their fullest potential!
