I am from South Korea and I could take his class for a semeater. He was one of my best English teacher in America.
First, he knows student's pain when they start to learn English. Actually, the didficulty is different per person but he really try to find the struggle that students feel through continuous communication.
Second, he helps students to find motivation. Most students want to give up learening English when they dissappoint themselves because all people have the time that they stop to improve English. Also I talked a lot about it and he leaded me and made me do not stop studying English. Speicifically I like to listen a saying from him that is "Originally, learning language is extremely difficult"
Third, he don' teach just language. That is one part that I liked. He is not only a great teacher to teach about skills but he has great philosphy and experiences. He told me his stories and life-lessons. It works to students to study English on positive aspect. For example, he used to say about his ex-student's overcoming story on learning English. We could take confidence through it.
