About Amanda

Hello! My name is Ms. Amanda. I am a recent grad, having just received my BS in Communication. My pride and joy are the children and adults I teach every day.

I also have Ms. Gabriella aboard, who specializes in math. She is a certified middle school math and science teacher in the state of Illinois. She is also elementary school certified. Ms. Gabriella has over 20 years of classroom experience!

What we enjoy most about the work we do is the gratification of knowing we're helping a student succeed. Whether that be through school subjects or life lessons, we know students can count on us as role models to assist them in whatever hurdles are thrown their way.

We believe anyone can succeed, with the proper encouragement and compassion, such as what we provide!

My mom was a teacher and she was so passionate, it was contagious!

I have my Bachelor of Science in Communication! I hope to continue on to grad school for a Psychology degree! I have 12 years of training and experience working with children of all ages, as I've tutored, coached, babysat, taught swim lessons, and been a lifeguard.

Perfect! Amanda is great! She has helped my 6th grader w his language arts and literature classes. She has been amazing at helping him with comprehension and working on his weaknesses. She takes time to find out his struggles really work on them. We are so grateful to have found her!

Perfect! Amanda is organized and communicates well. She has gone above and beyond to understand our son's assignments so that she can put supports in place that keep him organized and on top of his school work. She also supports his writing and completing of projects. She has been a very helpful tutor!

Ms. Amanda has helped my son immensely with his writing skills, as well as obtaining the proper skills to summarize and retain what he is reading. He is in 8th grade and his father and I were worried regarding his English skills as high school is just around the corner but having Amanda to help has put our minds at ease. Absolutely recommend her for English as well as other subjects as she helped my son in those as well when he needed it.

Ms. Amanda helped tutor my 12 year old daughter in writing as she was struggling with her seventh grade work load. She was a god send! She helped Kelly with vocabulary and ways to build a paper, helping her keep up in class as well as learn to enjoy the subject more. Would absolutely recommend Ms. Amanda for any of your child’s middle school and elementary school curriculum, and I know she does high school work as well! Thank you Ms. Amanda, from Mrs. Golaski and Kelly!
