About Katie
I am a recent graduate of Mechanical Engineering Technology from Old Dominion University. I graduated with a 3.94 GPA, and I maintained my status on the Dean's list while I attended ODU.
I am passionate about teaching others. I want to ensure that students have the best opportunities to learn since education is a foundation for the rest of their lives.
I have been in the Navy for the past six years, operating in an engineering specialty. I also recently completed my Engineering degree from ODU, which was very math orientated.

First, learning about what they feel comfortable or uncomfortable about in the subject. If they know what their learning style is, that is helpful to know as well. I would also like to review their previous assignments, excellent grades or poor grades, to understand where they may stand on specific topics.
When I was in high school, I was a tutor for pre-calculus, chemistry, and calculus. They were very motivated but needed the extra push to understand specific topics.
