About Piper
I have my undergrad in business and a masters in teaching. I have taught at 2 different schools (charter- title 1) where I focused on math but do have a background with small group, specified level, reading (guided reading STEP levels 3-10). I have experience with 3 different math curriculums (Eureka, Investigations and CGI). I would like to stay writhin a K-4 level but am willing to get familiar with middle school math curriculum.
I have been teaching in low income communities for 3 years and I enjoy building academic and personal confidence in students.
I have my masters in teaching that I received in 2020 and I have experience with three different math curriculums. One curriculum was very procedural while the other two are conceptual which is what I currently work with.

I would like to talk to parents privately about goals. If a student is struggling, I want them to be aware but still feel confident in their strengths. I would then want to meet the child and discuss their own goals, that might be getting an A on a test, reaching their goal on a test or just raising their hand in class.
