About Michaela
I just graduated as Valedictorian of my high school and this fall I will be attending UCLA online, potentially majoring in applied mathematics. I have experience teaching math to my little sister and to various classmates throughout my years of high school. My accomplishments in math include earning a 5 on the AP tests for both Calculus AB and Calculus BC, as well as earning a department award from my high school for excellence in 11th grade math.
I am passionate about math because using my cumulative knowledge in the subject to solve particularly difficult problems is incredibly rewarding to me. Moreover, I love to help other people understand math on a deeper level. I have picked up different problem-solving methods from my various teachers over the years, so I try to explain concepts in many different ways to maximize the student's retention of the concepts. Whether you need a refresher on math before school starts or you want to get a head start on learning this year's material, I can be there to help!
