About Orion
Hi there,
My name is Orion and I am a UC Berkeley graduate in Applied Mathematics.
I teach all levels of math up to AP calculus BC, including but not limited to SAT math, algebra, trigonometry.
I believe that every person is a math person. Together we will find joy in solving problems and we will look at why they work the way they do-- you will be empowered to solve the prblems we work on together and tackle questions on your own.
I got started teaching math as a student helping my friends. Then, at Berkeley, I worked in the Student Learning Center as a tutor for college math.
I have a degree in applied math from UC Berkeley and I have tutored math for 10 years. When I attended UC Berkeley, I went through their tutor training and was a university math tutor at the Student Learning Center.

Orion is very patient and kind. He is always willing to re-explain concepts and go over material. I really enjoy learning from Orion, and he is a great tutor.
Orion was professional, friendly, and obviously passionate and excited about math. He made learning challenging concepts seem simple and even interesting for my child who has previously claimed to hate math!! His test scores have improved significantly this year, and math homework is no longer something he dreads doing every night.
