About Karan

I am passionate about the sciences and am a firm believer in hard work being the main difference between a "successful" student and one who does not have a strong internal locus of control. I started off struggling immensely and even failed many chemistry tests but refused to quit and have established a firm understanding on the subject!

Making students realize their full capabilities and potential!

My friends had told me that I explain things in a clear manner and I should try to help more people.

I am currently a fourth year biology major at UCLA and I have tutored at my local high school for the past years in essentially all science subjects.

About the lesson

We need to establish a baseline then address the weak points and turn those into strong points.

Students that are struggling in chemistry, math, biology.

Perfect! Karan was able to fit me into his schedule even though it was last minute. He was able to work with the day/time that was suitable for me, was very professional, easy going, and I will definitely use him again for my next tutoring needs!

Karan did an excellent job explaining difficult concepts. He gave alternative descriptions when I still didn't understand and made sure I had mastered the material so I could ace my test. He was also very easy to talk to and we had no problems overall. I'll be coming back with more chemistry questions for Karan!

For me process learning is very important. So having someone be able to help show me what kinds of things to look for and then the steps I need to take after that was super helpful!

Mr. Singh really helped me understand concepts much better. Sometimes even explaining them better than my professors. He led me to achieving the grade I wanted in my class.

He was a great tutor that improved my scores on my exams steadily as time went on and I even went on to get a 4 on the AP exam for Chemistry. The approach that he takes is he really wants to establish a baseline for his students and then proceed from there. And I personally believe this is a great way to learn actively. Definitely would recommend working with him.
