Brian has been our 9th-Grade daughter's mathematics tutor for quite some time now. Brian was a volunteer in my eighth-grade math classroom, where I taught algebra. I retired in June.
Brian often indicated to me that he enjoyed working with my students, and he hoped his presence would add some inspiration and motivation to the classes he visited. Because of his practical experience, he was frequently able to share with my students how the math might be useful in the real world, particularly with respect to engineering. His thorough and deep knowledge of the subject area made him a welcome presence. Brian was also completely willing to help me “work the room” as we checked on students’ progress and answered their questions.
