About Shawn
Hello,
I am a current college student. Math is something that's easy to understand when the person explaining it to you is patient and speaks in a way that is easy to understand. I have taken many math classes such as college Statistics, finite math, algebra, geometry, and have experience with pre calc.
I am currently experiencieng a college environment. I think a student who is in highschool can benefit from my style of teaching because it can prepare them for higher math levels. Math can be a very intimidating subject if it is not taught right and explained with patience. The goal for any math teacher/ tutor is to not make their students feel like they are not capable of solving problems. I truly believe that every question from any student is valid and the student deserves the best answer.
I have taken Statistics for decision making (college level stats), finite math, Algebra courses, and am familiar with pre calculus courses, trigonometry, and geometry. I also have experience with highschool chemistry, and college level biology. I can also do SAT prep.

My process is starting from the very beginning of the section the student is struggling in and then analyzing what they do know. If we can get this part done then we can narrow down the part that the student is not too familiar with and focus more on that part.
Please do not be afraid to ask questions because although some teachers might invalidate your concerns the good ones don't. You're questions can also help other students learn more because surprisingly many people have the same questions.e
