About Paul
As a science and math teacher in small classes, I have the experience to reach out and help you understand in a fresh perspective I call "PRESS". "P" stands for preview the material and discuss your background knowledge (The student will be able to Ask). "R" is for review, where we go over the previous section or lesson and connect it to the bigger picture (The student will be able to Investigate). "E" is for engage your learner. This is the chance to apply the principles being discussed in a "visual" and/or "virtual hands-on" methods (The student will be able to Explain) The first "S" means strategies. What strategies we need to help you understand and extend your knowledge of the subject (The student will be able to Apply). Finally, the second "S" stands for study. Not study in the sense of memorizing material without understanding, but study in the sense of finding connections to other fields (The student will be able to Reflect).
