About Samuel
I have offered high quality music instruction to private students for nearly 10 years, as well as taught general music K-5 for 7 years. I have a Bachelors in Music Ed. From Keene State College, and a Masters of Ed. From Liberty University.
I work closely with students and parents to determine their goals of playing an instrument, and help them meet those goals along the way. I have taught many age groups and levels of ability.
The best part about teaching 1 on 1 lessons is the individualized attention I can give to each student. Each person has diffferent reasons for wanting to play an instrument, and my job is to help them reach those goals! My favorite moments while teaching are those "aha" moments when a student finally nails that song they've been working on, or talks excitedly about how they shared their playing with a friend or family member. I'm so excited to share my love of music with you!
In high school, I started helping out my friends in band that needed extra support. I did my senior project creating a drum instruction book, and went to college for music education. I started private lessons once I graduated and have had a steady stream of drum, guitar, piano, and music theory students ever since. I have also been teaching Elementary General music, chorus, and beginning band since 2013.

Upon request, we will schedule a lesson time that works for both schedules. The first lesson is a way to get to know each other and get an idea of musical background and goals. I like to make sure my student leaves the first lesson knowing how to do something exciting on their instrument!
Ages:Elementary students, middle school, high school and adults.

He is great at understanding very confusing questions! I'll go on this long rant trying and seemingly failing to articulate my troubles, and he just listens- and when I finally finish, he is actually able to give me an answer! He also makes it fun, even while giving me exercises, etc., and one way he does that is he teaches me what I'm curious about, which in a way keeps my interest up. It's great.

I’ve learned so much since starting with him and having a great teacher has made the learning process all the more enjoyable and worth it. Overall— great teacher, encouraging, helpful, willing to push me, but still patient as I have trouble learning difficult concepts.
