About Ronald
Spin Inc. is a DJ/Electronic music production school and welcomes students interested in learning the art of deejaying and music production in the birthplace of Techno music: Detroit.
The school was founded by Detroit DJs who wanted to share the tremendous musical knowledge of Detroit with both students from all over the world and Detroit's children and young adults.
Since its creation in 2015, the Spin Inc has hosted many Masterclasses and workshops, taught by Detroit musical figures such as Juan Atkins, Stacey “Hotwaxx” Hale, Scott “Go-Go” Gordon, Ben Casey (Ableton), DJ Head and DJ Recloose, to name a few. Classes are held at DIME-Detroit (Detroit Institute of Music Education) in Downtown Detroit and the DSA (Detroit School of the Arts).
Being able to share the history and my personal journey with others about the art of djing and turntablism. I started in 1985 and I still find joy in playing music for others.

First, give an introduction to DJing by supplying handout about the history, personalities, equipment and vocabulary. Secondly, ask the student their interests and how familiar with equipment (analog or digital). Lastly what genre of music do they like and what kind of DJ they would like to become.
