About Courtney
As a nursing professional with a background in healthcare and education, I am passionate about helping students achieve their goals. I have experience working with a diverse range of people with different needs, and I understand the challenges that students face in their academic journey. My goal as a tutor and mentor is to alleviate these challenges and provide the support and guidance necessary for success.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Prairie View A&M University, and I offer tutoring services in various subjects related to healthcare, including Medical-Surgical Nursing, Pharmacology, and Pathophysiology, to name a few. I believe it is vital to see nurses excel in their career goals and show up as their best selves to serve their communities.
My teaching philosophy revolves around a student-centered approach that incorporates a variety of teaching formats. I believe in creating customized teaching plans that meet the unique needs of each individual I am educating. I encourage my students to develop problem-solving strategies, ask questions, and simulate what they've just learned. This cultivates and strengthens the critical thinking skills needed to reach your career goals.
Outside of academia, I enjoy traveling and experiencing new cultures and foods. I have traveled to many countries and met many friends worldwide. Traveling is a joy in my life, and it helps me to understand better and appreciate the diversity of our world.
