About Michelle
A class or individual session of painting with instruction will help develop the skill to bring a painting to life and build on your techniques to carryover into other paintings of your own creations.
Painting and art hobbies in general are a valuable part of my self care and life enjoyment. It is so important to me to share the skill of painting with others in order to build value and a new hobby that you can use for personal or business purposes.
My husband and I travelled around to a few states with the military. Due to our short stays in each place, we stayed in our 5th wheel RV and I began teaching paint and wine classes at KOA parks. I also spent a few classes in people's home who wanted to have private painting parties.
I have been painting and drawing my entire life and have taken several art classes throughout college at different levels for different painting mediums and drawing techniques.

Assessment of where each individual student is in their skill set is the first step I take. Time will not be wasted for my students who have basic skills and we can move into more intermediate techniques. For classes offered, there will be a class description on the skill level that will be taught so that each class member can only attend classes at the skill level desired.
Primarily my students have been beginner to intermediate level painters. I have taught both children and adult classes. Both children and adult classes have primarily been canvas and rock painting with acrylic.
Take time to ask questions about what the ya re offering and make sure your teacher knows what level of skill you are so that they can make sure you have the best learning experience.
One of my favorite classes taught was for the 4th of July at a KOA, where I had a surprisingly good amount of people turn out. The happiness that learning how to paint fireworks over water did for everyone was such a rewarding event. It was so fun to meet people from all over the country and come together with art and the appreciation of our beautiful country and independence.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Can I get individualized help if I'm not sure how to perform a technique?
Will classes be offeeed for different skill levels?
what if I take a class where people have varying skill level?
