About Tulio
My classes focus more on the development of creativity than on the learning of techniques. In this sense Art is used as exploration and affirmation but always supporting the artistic result and in its process, be it painting or sculpture.
My classes are taught only in Spanish.
The meaning of my work is to look for the relationship between art and life and the enjoyment of expressing oneself through shape and color.
Magnificent if the result turns out to be a work of art.
I started teaching art psychology, then I was hired as a sculpture and painting teacher thanks to having participated in a national exhibition. Then I have dedicated myself to personalized teaching.
Studies in visual arts, Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Teacher of visual arts for 18 years and several group and solo National and International Exhibitions. Awards in various art events.

I always start the process by asking the student why and what for he paints. What he/she knows about painting, about the history of art, what painters he knows, what is his/her favorite painting and what he has painted so far.

I took several classes with Tulio and couldn’t be happier. I wanted to start painting for a while but somehow was always anxious about it. He made me feel very comfortable. He explained and demonstrated concepts like primary and complementary colors in terms and ways I could understand. He is very patient and understanding and I made good progress quickly.
I have been painting on and off for a while and took classes in the past but was always disappointed. I tried Mr. Vergara's class and I love it. I finally understand composition and depth and the relationship between planes as never before. I feel like my skills have tremendously improved and I am a lot more confident in my abilities than ever before.
