About Robert
I have been a top flight professional artist for 35 years (see robertblehert.com), and have also taught children, teens and adults painting with rave results. I am very well versed in key fundamentals that were used by the great masters of the past, but have been largely forgotten today. I have the patience and communication skills to get these fundamentals across to anyone who has the desire. I will not teach you opinions, only refamiliarize you with very simple and powerful rules that you can then use or not use as you see fit. That makes you the master, not the rules.
There is no greater joy for me than creating, and painting is a mighty fun way to create!
I started giving painting workshops to children in schools and getting flown to different places in the country to give these workshops to adults and children. I found that I enjoy helping by passing along what I know.
I have very extensive classical training in the techniques taught by DaVinci and passed along to later schools of painting such as the Hudson River School and the French Impressionists.

First I consult with the student to find out what their goals are as an artist, and find out what they love to paint.
I have worked with all types of students.
Look for someone who is easy to talk to, and someone who is very confident they can give you whatever results you are looking for. Don't hire someone who seems to talk down to you in any way or makes the subject seem complicated. It is not actually a very complicated subject. It does take some dedication and hard work to get very good at it, just like with any other activity. However the basics of how to do it are actually quite simple.

Think about what your goals are as an artist, and don't be afraid to dream big.

Details
By the hour, 75.00 per hour or 300.00 for 6 hours. The other option is a one time fee of 5000.00 to learn everything I know. This is on whatever schdule the student can do and he/she is not finished until they feel confident they can execute a painting with a quality as great as they have ever dreamed.
