About William
I have 43 years of experience teaching oil painting classes for adults with a focus on the landscape as subject matter. All levels of experience; beginner on up.
I enjoy sharing the things I have learned in painting and strive to impart knowledge on the craft of painting to students. Also to give students encouragement as they learn.

Early on I endeavor to assess a students skill level and adapt to each person and cover basics of materials, mixing color and painting techniques. It's a progressive learning experience.
Patience on the part of the student cannot be overstressed as there's much to learn. Take your time and enjoy the process and don't be afraid of mistakes. That's what teachers are for to help and encourage you.

I thoroughly enjoy the online painting concept. It's been perfect for social distancing. If I am unable to make class, the video and materials supplied provide me with the guidance I need to paint alone and stay up to speed for the next class. This painting format is highly recommended and couldn't be taught by a more talented instructor.
