About Joshua
I spent 15+ years as a martial art instructor and dojo owner. During that time, I participated in and helped train many others in a variety of martial art styles/systems. My specialty is Ju-Jitsu, which encompasses most martial art styles. In addition to my martial art background, I also have degrees in Exercise Science Management & Physical Education. Not only did/do I offer martial art training, but basic fitness & health training as well.
3 Areas Of Emphasis:
(Body/Dantian) Much of my experience has to do with the physical application, training, and techniques related to self-defense & competitive fighting: boxing, kickboxing, BJJ, MMA, etc.
(Mind/3rd Eye) I also study and emphasize the philosophical aspects which can be applied in a wide variety of educational, informational, and real life circumstances/situations/fields of study including organizational management, creativity, and character development.
(Spirit/Ki) Once mind and body are in sync, one's spirit is free to thrive. While not emphasizing one religion or another, together we can help improve the longevity & quality of life for yourself and others around you.
Whether your goal is to step in the cage someday to become a champion, or develop a new scientific principle to share with the world, let's connect one way or another.

My goal is and always has been to help others achieve their goals... As a result, I have had the pleasure of witnessing many successes. We often think things are more difficult than what they actually are, and always remember, "You don't have to be great to start, but you do have to start to be great!"
I enjoy sharing knowledge which has been shared with me by many over the course of my lifetime, and seeing others achieve their goals.
I grew up in the martial arts, and started teaching classes at 15 years of age as a black belt. At 19, I opened my dojo. I also attended college and received degrees in Exercise Science Management and Physical Education.

First, we will discuss goals and feasibility. Then, create a "lesson plan" to help achieve the goals.
Over the course of 20+ years, I have worked with people of all ages, goals, and capabilities. Due to the fact I am doing this in my free time now, I want to make sure that you and your goals match up with what I can offer. So, I am less interested in a large quantity of individuals/groups to work with, and much more interested in providing a quality educational experience for those interested.
