About Gary
A lifelong photographer, I’m happy to teach new photographers learn their way around the basics of photography - camera operation, exposure, focus, composition, lighting etc.
I also have been using Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom for managing images, improving image quality, retouching and simple effects.
I find it very gratifying to help someone learn new skills and see how they progress and move forward. Seeing "the penny drop" as an idea clarifies in the student's mind is always fun.
I've been a lifelong photographer, experienced in shooting a wide variety of subjects including: portraits, performances, artistic, boudoir, fitness, journalistic, advertising, sports, seniors, and a few weddings. I've also been using Photoshop and Lightroom since their earliest versions (Mac platform).
I have done individual student teaching from time to time, with a problem-solving approach, tailored to the student's objectives.

Details
I am starting with $50 per one-hour class. This includes my travel time to you (up to 30 minute drive) or use of a studio space in downtown Dayton.
I can also travel further for a multi-hour session.
I can facilitate hiring models, stylists, make-up artists, etc. Their cost and any other related expenses are the responsibility of the student.
