About Aaron
A lot of people in art education say they are passionate about it, and that's impossible to refute. I have managed to make it my life. I am a college professor of photography, visual art and film and media studies. I also teach drawing and sculpture to high school students, and I develop programs for at risk children and adults through a non-profit I work for. Making art is in my soul. Teaching art is my opportunity to empower both my community and the arts.
I am a college professor by trade. Between the University of Colorado and Johnson County Community College I have taught 6 different types of photography classes, 3 different types of visual arts classes plus film and media studies.
I have a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Studio arts with emphasis in photography and visual arts. I also have a Bachelor of Arts in Visual and Performing Art with emphasis in photography.
I also teach drawing and sculpture at Crossroads Prep Academy, and am the development director for a local non-profit called The Arts Asylum. I develop programs for people of all ages at risk.
