About Ben
I have a passion for photography and would love to teach those interested in photography achieve their goals as photographers.
Photography has been a passion of mine since 2007. I have been a photojournalist, a studio photographer, a PR & Marketing photographer and also run a photography studio in McAllen, Texas.
I have 10 years experience as a freelance photographer. I also studied photojournalism and history at the University of Texas at Austin.

I began teaching friends privately who were into photography but did not know the camera or basics completely. This grew a passion to began teaching publically.
Studied photography as a minor at the Univeristy of Texas at Austin. 10 years experience as a photographer. Current full time job is photography related.

Students must have thier own DLSR with len(s) before being considered for lessons.
I hvae worked with students who are the ages of 19-32 years of age.
I would advise the student to look at the teachers latest work, ask him or her about the type of photography they teach and when and where are the lessons given.
I recently taught a student how to use a reflector disk as a main light source in outdoor portrait photography.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should thinka about the time and commitment they would be willing to put into photography. The student should also consider the costs of equipment.
