About Casey
I am a former college professor turned non-profit museum educator and love the opportunity to share my knowledge of photography. Believe it or not, I studied photography in college and I was 3 classes in when I finally admitted that I didn't understand the functions of the camera - I was still shooting in automatic mode. When the functions finally clicked, I fell in love with the control I was able to take when creating my own images - I felt like I had tapped into a part of me that I didn't know existed. Let me teach you the way I learned, so that you can use your camera (and your eye) with confidence.
Having a background in photography, I began studying moving images and directing using the same camera that I used to shoot still images. My work has been shown nationally and internationally and I have taught over 500 students how to use their cameras with agency.
I started teaching continuing education courses in photography as well as traditional college courses in 2010.

Fun, easy, and knowledgeable! Took time to help get the perfect shots for the event and made the clients feel like their project was the top priority!!!
Learning photography can be confusing but Casey has a real gift for clearly explaining the mechanicals. She also helped me to understand the aesthetics and beauty of ordinary things and how to create a beautiful composition from seemingly nothing. I strongly recommend working with Casey!
