About Virginia
I have been photographing since I bought my first slr many years ago. I specialize in portraits, product and real estate photography. I have taught my children (one of which is now a professional photographer), family and friends.
I love black and white photography and finding the picture within the picture.
I love taking photos. I am inspired by the little things and good light. Learning to look at someone or something through the camera lens gives new perspective on the ordinary things.
I am primarily self taught but through years of being a student of photography I have been in several juries shows, won several awards. I also participate in workshops on a regular basis for both behind the lens as well as post-processing.

I get a sense of their level of expertise and discuss what they want to learn. I’ll have a brief one-on-one lecture then we shoot. The best way to learn photography is to do it . I’ll be side-by-side as the student shoots offer suggestions and advice.
