I understand that there is significant variance in needs and situations, and as such my rates are subject to some negotiation. However, the following principles provide the framework for discussion:

-I charge $30 per hour of active tutoring. Because each hour of active tutoring requires at least as much time spent in preparation, this enables me to spend the time you deserve ensuring our time together is productive. 

-Very regular meetings raise the cost per hour by as much as $10/hour. Higher demands in meeting and progress require greater amounts of preparation and put more strain on my other obligations. Our initial discussion and scheduling will establish if this needs to be taken into account. 

-Appointments can be moved or canceled up to 48 hours in advance. Changes made after this point will still be subject to half the cost of the session. Less preparation than this doesn't give me the opportunity to fill that time, so I lose out on the chance to meet with someone else. The stability in my schedule this provides will help ensure I can give you the time you need.
