About Isaiah

"To teach is to learn and to learn is to teach."

As a music producer, my process often includes the analysis and study of all roles in a band and applying that to the keyboard/piano. On top of developing the ear, this creates a well informed musician that is able to effectively communicate with their instrument.

Teaching offers the opportunity to reinforce my knowledge in music and proficiency with the keyboard, therefore it's always exciting to guide those interested in music.

I was formely trained at Columbia College Chicago where I revieced a Bacehlor of Music in Contemporary, Urban, and Popular Music.

I also have an extensive background playing on stages. I've had the opportunity to perform several renown muscians including Cory Henry, Isaiah Sharkey, Cassandra O'Neal, and Darryl Jones.

First, I want to know the students ambitions and goals, so that I am able to align them with the proper practice routine to achieve success. I then start with an ear training exercise to get an accurate guage of skill level and ability to point out notes. From there I find a place to meet between aural abilty and skill level on the instrument to assign music of interest.

Find a teacher that you can relate to. Someone who inspires you and pushes you to be the best 'you' you can possibly be.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What do you hope to achieve with music? It's important to know what your end goal is before you can create the step needed to get there.
