About Margie

I am now accepting students of all ages. I feel my technique regarding teaching is extremely unique because I cultivate lessons individually to each student. I have a Masters Degree in Piano Performance and Music Education (from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music in Australia and Berklee College of Music in Boston) but more importantly I have travelled all around the world as a performing artist. This has given me the opportunity to literally play and teach every style of piano from Concert to Jazz and Pop and my goal is to make my students excited to learn and to "want" to come to lessons every week.

I develop deep pride in my student's progress. Knowing that I was a part of their success is extremely important to me. I want to make it an exciting journey for them. A teacher makes all the difference and I want to impart to my students the excitement I had studying piano growing up...

* Concert Piano training since the age of 5 and a Masters Degree in Piano and Music Education

* Jazz Piano training - post graduate studies at Berklee College of Music

* Consistent employment as a studio musician for over 20 years

* Performed at most of the 5 star hotels in Boston and various countries around the world

* Employment for several 5 star cruise and river ship companies

Every student is so unique and while it is very important to develop good technique it is equally as important to make it enjoyable- not everyone wants to be a concert pianist; perhaps jazz is more your forte! I am comfortable teaching every style of piano.
