About Clinton
I assist with the Preparatory Music Program at my university, and I have taught a summer music camps as well.
I am a senior candidate for a Bachelor of Music-Piano Performance from Loyola University, New Orleans. I have taken courses in and studied extensively: Piano Literature, Western Art Music History, Piano Technique, Piano Performance, Music Theory, and Piano Pedagogy.

First, I ask the students what goal they are trying to accomplish with their music study. I recognize that most students will be for enrichment, so I am mostly interested in knowing if there's a certain piece or certain level that they are trying to reach. I will then ask them to list me some of their favorite pieces--no matter what genre--and evaluate what repertoire I can be best draft for them.
Primarily elementary level students.
Finding a patient teacher is paramount, and making sure they have sufficient technical training.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Make sure you're goals are known and that you think through how much time you are willing to put in. Is it completely fine to do piano for leisure (I am 100% in support of this), but being sure you communicate this clearly so you both can work through a plan that is conducive to your achieving your goals!
